Does A-Soy need to be refrigerated?
Unopened cans do not need to be refrigerated and can be drank at room temperature if desired. Once opened, any unused amount should remain refrigerated and should be drank within 48 hours of being open. If left unrefrigerated A-Soy should be drank within 2 hours of being opened.
Can I Freeze A-Soy?
We do not recommend freezing A-Soy. Freezing may cause degradation of the vitamins.
What is a prebiotic? A prebiotic is a non-digestible carbohydrate that
works in the intestines to nourish and stimulate the growth of the beneficial bacteria
which in turn maintain a healthy digestive environment.
What are isoflavones?
Isoflavones are considered important components in soy foods that help promote heart health. Isoflavones may also provide:
- A reduced risk of cardiovascular disease
- Enhanced bone health
- A reduced risk of certain cancers including prostate cancer
- Decreased menopausal symptoms
What are soy beans?
The soy bean comes from a leguminous plant (Glycine max) that grows pods with clusters of
two to three beans. The color of the bean varies from shades of brown to green and the shape
can be oval or round. People began cultivating soy beans in Northern China three centuries ago. Today soy beans are used in many food products, including soy milk, soy cheese, soy yogurt
and tofu.
What is soy protein?
Protein that comes from soy beans is a complete source of protein, meaning it contains all of the essential amino acids.
Amino acids are the building blocks of protein. There are twenty amino acids needed to build the proteins used by the body, all twenty are needed for good health. The body alone can make eleven of the needed amino acids; the other nine must come from other sources in your diet.
Why is protein good for me?
Protein is needed by the body for growth, repair and maintenance of body tissues such as
muscles, bones, skin and vital organs. Good sources of protein include meat, fish, eggs, beans, legumes, cereals, poultry, nuts, seeds, and dairy products. In addition to all of that protein also:

What is the importance of dietary fiber?
Fiber has also been shown to help promote healthy digestive function. Also, meals that include soluble fiber tend to slow down digestion, thereby delaying the absorption of glucose, a blood sugar. This can be helpful in normalizing blood sugar levels. Soluble fibers can also help to
promote a feeling of "fullness", resulting in reduced calorie intake - a big plus if you're trying to
lose weight. In addition, the presence of fiber in the diet may help promote healthy cholesterol levels.
What is an omega-3?
Omega-3's are fatty acids which have been studied for their role in health and well-being. ALA is
an essential omega-3 fatty acid; meaning that it must be included in the diet for optimal health. Common sources of ALA include soybeans, flaxseed, and walnuts. DHA is another type of
omega-3 nutrient and has been studied for its role in heart, brain and eye health.
Can people with dietary restrictions drink A-Soy?
A-Soy perfect beverage for those who have a dairy allergy or are lactose intolerant. A-Soy is dairy and lactose free, in addition to being vegetarian safe, kosher-OU-D and gluten-free.
Does A-Soy contain animal Sources?
A-Soy is suitable for vegetarians, but not vegans since the Vitamin D3 is derived from animal.
How much soy protein needs to be consumed on a daily basis to have benefits?
The FDA has determined that the greatest cardiovascular benefits occur with consumption of 25 grams of soy protein a day. To put that number in perspective a serving of A-Soy (1 can) has 10 grams of soy protein, about the same as 4 ounces of tofu. For a product to carry the health claim
on the label, it must contain at least 6.25g soy protein per serving.
Is A-Soy kosher?
Yes, A-Soy is certified Kosher OU-D. Kosher OU-D certifies that the product does not contain dairy however it may be produced on equipment that also produces dairy products. A-Soy follows strict allergen cleanup procedures to ensure that products made on shared equipment are dairy free.
What is the gray residue sometimes found at the bottom of the can?
The residue is calcium deposits that have settled and is not an abnormal occurrence. We recommend shaking the can prior to opening to make sure A-Soy is properly mixed.
